February is School Board Appreciation Month!
At last night's School Board Meeting, second graders led us in the pledge of allegiance then gave the Board Members handmade cards. Dr. Maerz presented certificates of appreciation from the Virginia Department of Education to each of our Board Members. The industrial trades class crafted drink coasters as gifts and our cafeteria manager, Mrs. Jamison, prepared a delicious cake and snacks for a celebration after the meeting.
Join us in thanking Kenny Hodges, Sherry Sullenberger, and Joe Neil for all their hard work and dedication to our school system!

You can send a note along with a delicious cookie or a brownie for $1 or both for $2.
If you would like to send a valentine to a student or faculty, please email Mrs. Hise at mhise@highland.k12.va.us with the subject line "Send a Valentine''.
Then please state the following:

And state if you'd like to purchase a cookie or brownie ($1) or both ($2)
You may drop money off at the elementary or high school office by Friday February 10th. Valentines will be delivered to students at the end of the day February 14th. If you have any other questions, please email Mrs. Hise.
