The 6th graders spent a glorious fall day on Elkhorn Lake with our Chesapeake Bay Foundation guides. All became improved navigators with a little practice. After testing the water and by examining the plant and animal life, this lake was found to be extremely healthy.

Highland's very own published author/illustrator Ginny Neil shared her book The Glorious Forest that Fire Built with students at HCPS and hosted a poetry workshop with 8th graders. We thank her so much for sharing her talents with us.
