The School Board will be meeting with the Comprehensive Planning Committee to continue working on our 5-year comprehensive plan. They will meet on Wednesday, December 4, at 6:30pm in the HHS library.
Due to the impending forecast in the western part of the county, Highland County Public Schools will be closed today, November 22.

🌍 On Monday, 6th grade science students had their monthly visit from 4-H and measured the relative distance of the planets 🪐 using toilet paper 🧻 in the gym. This activity kicked off a mini-unit on what makes Earth habitable 🌟.

This morning, Sheriff Kelly visited with our 8th through 11th graders to discuss exciting career opportunities in Emergency Services. He also shared information about how students can get a head start in these careers through Valley VoTech programs. We’re grateful for his time and valuable insights!

📢 Important Update for Students and Families 📢
Starting Monday, November 18th, student access to cell phones and personal devices will be restricted from bell-to-bell 📵. This means:
🕗 From the first bell at 8:15 AM (start of the instructional day)
🕒 Until the dismissal bell at 3:15 PM (end of the instructional day).
This includes 📚 recess, second chance breakfast, lunch, passing time, and all school activities held during the instructional day.
What this means:
➡️ If students bring a cell phone or device to school, it must be turned off and stored during the bell-to-bell instructional hours.
Student choices for their devices:
1️⃣ Leave them at home 🏠.
2️⃣ Turn them off and store them in a locker or vehicle 🔒🚗.
