RICHWOOD, W.Va. — Highland stroked 18 base hits, received four walks and capitalized on eight Richwood errors.

Those totals all came in just four at-bats here last Friday.

The visiting Rams put up crooked numbers in every frame, posting a 21-4 victory over the Lumberjacks in a game that was stopped after four innings.

All nine Highland starters had hits, including Zach Armstrong, who led the way with a 4-for-5 day, scoring three runs and driving in five.

Tristan Carpenter was a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs scored, while Eli Moore, Elijah Good and Levi Warner all had two hits. Patton Hull, John Wagner, Evan Kimble and Zack Wright had one hit each.

Hull, Armstrong and Moore scored three runs apiece and both Moore and Good drove in three.

Good and Wagner both pitched two innings each for the Rams.

Good allowed four hits and two runs, earning the win, while Wagner gave up three hits and two runs. They combined to strike out five and walk six.

Cameron Jenkins had two hits for the Lumberjacks, who are now 3-5 on the year, and Parker Giles was charged with the pitching loss.

Highland had two other games postponed last week — Monday at Tygarts Valley and Thursday at home against Bath County. The Pioneer District match-up between the Rams and the Chargers was rescheduled for Monday, April 28.

Highland was at Eastern Montgomery on Tuesday and travels to Parry McCluer next Tuesday.
