MONTEREY — Sarah Liller pitched a pair of complete-game wins and the Highland offense provided plenty of firepower Saturday in a doubleheader sweep of Narrows.
The Rams were 11-1 game one winners in three innings, before a five-inning 15-7 victory in the second game.
Liller recorded nine strikeouts and surrendered 12 hits in the circle for the winners, who improved to 4-1 on the season.
Liller joined Colleen Adams and Kristina Neil with four hits apiece in the doubleheader, while Peyton Neil, Amelia Good, Ava Summers and Adelaide Baxter had three hits each.
Peyton Neil scored five runs; Liller scored four times; Adams, Kristina Neil, Makynley Smith and Baxter each scored three runs; both Good and Summers scored twice; and Elanor White had one run scored.
Highland went to Pocahontas County on Thursday and beat the Warriors, 20-11.
Liller struck out nine in the circle for the Rams.
Adams and Peyton Neil each had four hits and scored four runs; Liller had three hits; Kristina Neil, Summers and White each had two hits; Good had a hit; and Smith scored three times.
Highland’s home game with Tygarts Valley, W.Va., on Monday was postponed.
The Rams hosted Parry McCluer on Tuesday and go to Craig County today.
