MONTEREY — Highland fell to Pendleton County, W.Va., 19-25, 12-25, in a middle school volleyball match here Monday evening.
Lalea Mullins had three aces, two kills, one assist and one dig for the Rams, Cynthia Warner added one assist, one ace and one dig, Addison Sponaugle had one kill, Wren Cox had one assist and both Kendra Meredith and Leah Armstrong had one dig.
Last Friday, the Rams lost both ends of a doubleheader at Shawsville Middle.
Final set scores in the matches were not available.
Mullins had two assists, two aces and four digs for Highland in the first match. Sponaugle added two aces, Warner had three aces, two digs and one kill, Meredith had two kills, four aces and a dig, Brielle Ruckman had three aces, Aspen Lupo had an ace and a dig, Cox had one assist, one dig and one ace, and Lucy Honaker served an ace.
In the second match, Meredith had two aces to lead Highland. Other contributors included Mullins with one kill, one assist, one ace and one dig, Ruby Huffman with one ace, Honaker with one ace, Sponaugle with one kill and one ace, and Cox with one ace and one dig.
The Rams (1-9) are at Craig County this evening.
