MOUNT STORM, W.Va. — The Highland girls’ middle school basketball team won their third straight here Monday night, tripping up Union Educational Complex, 34-20.
Addison Lockridge led the Rams (4-2) with 17 points and Makynley Smith added eight. Amelia Good added five points, while Adelaide Baxter and Anna Meehan each scored two.
Lexi Reynolds scored eight for Union.
Last Thursday, the girls won a home matchup with Tygarts Valley, W.Va., 23-17.
Lockridge had 13 points for the winners, Smith had four and Brooklyn Bussard, Brooke Williams and Kristina Neil each had two.
Desiree Walton led Tygarts Valley with six.
In boys’ action, the Rams (0-6) lost to Tygarts Valley, 43-11, and to Union, 50-22.
Levi Warner had eight points for Highland and Preston Jaccard scored three against Tygarts Valley. Steven Rogers pulled in five rebounds.
Jacob Price had a game-high 17 points for the winners.
At Union, Jaccard and Karl Sax each scored eight, Gavin Neave added four and Owen Honaker had two. Neave was the leading rebounder with four.
The Rams are at home next Tuesday for a doubleheader against Marlinton Middle.
